The X Platform

X, formerly known as Twitter, is an online service or “app” friends, family, and coworkers use to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. It requires an account to be created in order to be used for any purpose. For more information about using X, please visit their Frequently Asked Questions page.

X Spaces

AssembleX uses a feature on X called “Spaces,” which are live audio conversations. Anyone with an X account can join, listen, and speak in a Space on X for iOS, Android, or desktop. Up to 13 people (including the host and 2 co-hosts) can speak in a Space at any given time, but there is no limit to the number of people who can listen.

After a listener joins a Space, they can request to speak by using the “raise hand” feature. Once they’ve raised their hand, a Host or Co-Host may call them up to the Speaker panel and let them know when it is their turn to speak. If you intend to speak on an AssembleX Space, please review our protocol. Hosts and Co-Hosts have control over the Speaker’s microphone (on X), and may either mute them or drop them down to listener for any reason.

Creating an X Account

We will add information about signing up for X here shortly, and will highlight features in addition to AssembleX Spaces that you may like. In the meantime, please visit X Help for information about creating an account and signing up.
